CNN = Headline News
I subscribe to the BBC World Service Global News Highlights podcast. Just about every morning I listen to 20-30 minutes of news from the BBC. Recently, starting most days’ newscasts has been news of the deteriorating situation in Kenya, and even more recently Chad as well.
On the other hand, CNN has such a hard-on for their US election coverage that they are literally re-airing everything I caught at 8pm at 11pm PST. Between having their own analysts (for the most part) continuously analyzing, showing clips of candidate speeches (curiously named “Ballot Bowl”) and reruns of the “news” shown on the very same day, I haven’t heard a single word toward what’s going on in Kenya, or the rest of the world for that matter.
CNN: let your sister network Headline News handle the news reruns (after they’ve kicked off windbags Nancy Grace and Glenn Beck and got back to actually reporting on news headlines). How about you try informing us a little bit.
